This week there was no time for boredom. Yes my week began at Red Square Media. Automatically you would think of Moscow. We chatted away for over half an hour. That is the lovely boss and I.
I tailed along for the day. Red Square Media or Red Square Moscow. Either Way, I was utterly blown away. I am rumoured to have links to Russia, it is in the genes and in the family somewhere. Pulling up to Red Square Media, in Kildare I thought of Red Square Moscow, Red Square Media, either way, I had absolutely no choice but to stay.
Deep in my heart, I am a housewife. I am a homemaker. I find it difficult to pull myself away from the mop, the polish and doing the laundry. Yet I get crazy girl cravings. As such as a makeup artist to the stars I threw away my duvet day to play hairstylist and makeup artist to Rachel Arraes. It is not often you find a star. The facade of fascinating is far too thin on the ground these days.
Rachel breezed in, the picture of a demure, trendy boutique girl. I had another image in mind. Rachel sort of perfumed onto set, in a romantic, undertone sort of way. The production company, camera crew, actors were all gearing up for this great advert to be screened online and on TV. The idea is to encourage us all to head to Educo Gym. I have warmed to the idea. I am actively on a high protein diet, no alcohol, no cigarettes, walking, stretching and toning. I have even bought a few new tracksuits. Quite imaginably I was all set for this Educo Gym Filming Day.
Nipping into the corner of the room, I thought about making Rachel resemble Sophie Lauren for the day. I think between wardrobe, actress, camera crew and makeup. Collectively we achieved our aim. Rachel Arreas, a celebrity, a quiet star. A wonderfully determined, south american women, I hope it all works out for her here in our great Irish Country. I asked her quite casually would she rather have a duvet day.
She suggested, it was a great opportunity. The young witty one was up at five in the morning, travelled across the morning darkness to arrive fresh faced for work. Maybe it is old age, Maybe it is the housewife in me. Everyone is encouraging me to push myself out of my house coat. I hope Red Square Media decides to stick with me. So maybe my duvet days will be numbered. I might be swapping them for TV.
The Year 2015 saw drastic change for me. I might aswell come out with it. I mean I was almost unrecognisable. I am recovering from cancer. From Head to Toe I was riddled. I received a diagnosis there a few years ago. Would you believe it was terminal. But modern medicene and cheap international flights changed all of that. A medical miracle, I still needed new hair. My inspiration comes from Cork Entrepreneur and successful business women, Jackie O Brien. A massive thank you for inspiring me to get out of the bed in the mornings. I feel the need to bring my personality back. I feel the need to make an effort, to wash my hair. I even feel the need to change my clothes, I have actually gone so far as to buy a few new pairs of tracksuits, in a few different colours. I am still struglling with makeup, the GHD, the mirror, the reflection, the diet and the hair. So a massive thank you to ASMARA EXTENSIONS CORK, for hurtling me towards resurrection myself and actually doing my hair.
